The Ancient Techniques Inherited for Generations In previous annual exhibitions, the NBTHK has held the “Exhibition of Newly Made Swords” for contemporary swordsmiths, and the “Sword Mounting and Polishing Awards Exhibition” for polishers and craftsmen.
Both are exhibitions of prestige and tradition, and have been held more than 60 times. These works were created through unwavering devotion. It would be my great pleasure for you to appreciate and enjoy the ancient techniques and beautiful works that have been passed down for generations by swordsmiths and craftsmen to the present day.
